Meals
ALL meals for this retreat are included! On the first night, join us for a Welcome Cocktail party before dinner. In addition to all meals, we’ve included coffee, tea, soft drinks, and cookie breaks. Except for the Welcome Cocktail gathering, alcoholic beverages are not included in the price of the retreat.
On Saturday night, we will enjoy a Cowboy Cookout! This down-home ranch experience includes live music!
Speaking of cowboys, you are also invited to join us for a horseback ride to Sunday breakfast (optional add-on, see below *) Mosey past towering cacti and climb rolling hills, as we make our way to the Old Homestead, where a freshly cooked breakfast awaits. We aren’t sure if the Ranch will let us knit while we ride a horse to breakfast, but we’re sure gonna try! If you prefer to eat breakfast at the restaurant, that’s ok, too!
Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options will be available: please note your preference in your registration form.
*For insurance purposes, you must register for the breakfast horseback ride through the Ranch. Please contact them: 1-800-234-3833, and mention that you are with the Wild Onion Productions group!
Knitting Classes
Casapinka and Sharon from Security have worked on a unique Design Your Own Cowl class, as well as a class to teach Casapinka’s method of Intarsia. We’ll be knitting all together on the project.
Wild Onion will help you paint a Cat Pouch to commemorate your time with The Boss (and Sharon from Security)!
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:
Friday: Relax and knit with us before the official Welcome Cocktail party, followed by dinner, painting, and knitting.
Saturday: meet for breakfast, followed by a yarn market, break for lunch, and Casapinka’s Intarsia class, then for dinner, enjoy the Cowboy Cookout experience!
Sunday: breakfast in the restaurant, or participate in the horseback (you can walk to the event) breakfast experience, (shower and change!) meet at our classroom for finishing the cats’ faces, then we can knit until we break for lunch, followed by more class time with Casapinka’s Design Your Own Cowl. Farewell dinner at the restaurant.
Monday: meet for breakfast and exchange contact info with your new friends.
Yarn Market and Swag
Vist our on-site yarn market, curated by Casapinka, where you’ll be able to purchase kits, skeins, and so much more! We’re really excited about the yarn and merch we’re bringing to the market, and we know that you will be too!
We’ll have yarn winders available so that you can wind your new yarn and knit ASAP!
Additionally, each reservation includes a luxury Swag Bag, filled with special items selected by Casapinka and Wild Onion.
Activities and Ample Knitting Time
What’s a knitting retreat without plenty of time to relax with your new friends and your knitting! The hotel has many places to sit and relax with your new friends.

Additionally, the ranch has lots of horseback riding and hiking available. Please check the Fun/Activities list on the ranch website for the riding and guided hikes list and fees.
