Included in your Reservation

Accommodations

Your newly renovated room, all fees, parking, taxes, and tips are included with your reservation, as are all meals and classes. ADA rooms are available upon request.

Hotel offers free parking and wifi, an indoor pool, fitness center and hot tub.

Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m.

Meals

On Thursday night, join us for cocktails and our Welcome dinner, complete with wine. This is all included in the retreat price.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is included every day. Alcohol is not included in the price of the retreat, except for our Welcome dinner.

Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available at each restaurant; please include this request in your registration form.

Classes

Join Lisa Ross, of Paper Daisy Creations, as she teaches you to create magic with color in your knitting. Transform the way you shop for yarn!

We will also explore different methods to create bias (yummy drape!) in our knitting in her New Angles in Knitting class.

A new Paper Daisy Creations pattern, included in the cost of the retreat, will debut at this event! We will share details closer to the retreat, and we can begin knitting the new pattern together.

Join Wild Onion for instructions to create a special and personalized pouch for your smaller knitting projects, or to fill with tools to add to your project bag!

On Sunday, we plan to take our classroom to Hidden Lake Gardens, where we will walk among the tree tops, then have lunch, and knit in class.

Yarn Market and Swag

This retreat features a special yarn market… on Saturday, we’ll spend the day at Sandhill Crane Winery to enjoy their annual Wine & Wool Festival, featuring 30 vendors spread out among the gardens of the winery. Shop, eat (lunch is included) and indulge in a bit of wine tasting, if you like!

Each reservation also includes a Luxury Swag Bag, filled with special items selected by Paper Daisy and Wild Onion.

Ample Knitting Time

Of course, we’ve made plenty of time for knitting!

Enjoy the classes, then grab your knitting bag and head to the pub, lobby, pool, or outdoor space with some of your new friends. At night, we’ll knit and chat until our eyelids droop!

Transportation Details

The largest airport near Jackson, MI is DTW in Detroit, which is 60 miles (~54 minutes) from Jackson.

The Ann Arbor airport, ARB, is 40 miles (~40 minutes) from Jackson.

Driving? The venue is right off 94, at the junction of 127.

Please visit the Wild Onion Productions group, on Ravelry, and look for the Paper Daisy retreat thread. You can post there to find knitters who might want to share a rental car with you.

Transportation is not included in the cost of the retreat.

This retreat is already filling up; don’t miss out! Reservations must be placed before May 29, 2024
Payment is accepted through Paypal (as a guest, if you don’t have an account) using your account or credit card, or choose Pay Later, to break up your payments into monthly increments. Stripe, which is a Level 1 (highest level of security compliance) secure online credit card processor, will process your payment via credit card.
Reservations include a non-refundable $300 Service Fee per person (note: this fee will only be charged for a guest’s cancellation)
ADA rooms are available. Check availability before registering.
Non-knitters are welcome! They may not attend the knitting or project classes, although they will be welcome at meal-times and extra-curricular activities!
