Code of Conduct

CODE OF CONDUCT at WILD ONION PRODUCTION EVENTS

We believe that our knitting community should be a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for everyone.  Wild Onion Production events are spaces where everyone should feel respected and valued, regardless of race, age, culture, ability, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religious background, or economic situation.

What we expect from everyone attending our events:

* Treat others with kindness and respect, the same way you’d like to be treated.

* Be mindful of how your words and actions may affect others.

* Respect people’s personal space and boundaries.

* Use inclusive language;  avoid jokes or comments that could be harmful or offensive to others.

* Listen when someone shares their experience, especially when it’s different from your own.

* Speak up (or come talk to us) if you witness behavior that doesn’t align with these values.

What won’t be tolerated:

* Racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, or any form of discrimination or hate.

* Harassment of any kind, including unwanted comments, touching, or advances.

* Dismissive, condescending, or aggressive behavior.

We’re here to learn, grow, and create together, and that starts with treating one another with empathy and respect. If you experience or witness behavior that goes against this code of conduct, please let a member of our team, or our venue’s security team know. We’re here to ensure that everyone feels safe and welcome.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens (knitters!) can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has” – Margaret Mead
