Accommodations

All resort fees, parking, taxes, and tips are included with your reservation. ADA rooms are available upon request.

Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out is 12 p.m.

The resort features 3 pools, and a full spa at which you can book your own experience; we have arranged for a 20% discount on any treatment over 50 minutes.

This area is world renowned for golf, so bring your clubs and enjoy a discount when you book your tee time through the Resort’s online reservation system. Prefer tennis? 29 courts are available to you, at the nearby Tennis Garden, home of the BNP Paribas Open. We have also arranged for a special room rate for any guest wishing to extend their stay for up to 3 additional nights. Please contact us for more information.

Meals

On Thursday night, join us at the bar for cocktails, after which we will enjoy a Welcome dinner in our private dining room, complete with wine. This is all included in the retreat price.

On Sunday night, a Farewell dinner with wine is also included.

Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available; please include this request in your registration form.

Classes

Join Casapinka for a 2 part workshop, as she teaches you to design your own cowl.

On Sunday, explore her Color Workshop class.

A new Casapinka pattern, included in the cost of the retreat, will be uploaded into your Ravelry library. We will offer knitting advice, and we can begin knitting the new pattern together.

Join Wild Onion for Knitting with Silk Muwata. This special unspun silk creates a light, soft, and lustrous yarn. We’ll knit a small project together, and kits for cowls will be available for purchase at the market.

We’ll also create a glass wind chime, and everything you’ll need for the project is included in the retreat price.

PLUS we are offering an additional event for this retreat: join us on Monday morning at the Palm Desert Knitting Guild for a special lecture given by Casapinka. Tickets and transportation to/from the lecture are included in the retreat fees. The lecture takes place at 9:30, and we should be back at the resort by 1 p.m.

Yarn Market and Swag

Visti our on-site yarn market, curated by Casapinka, where you’ll be able to purchase kits, skeins, and so much more! We’re really excited about the yarn and merch we’re bringing to the market, and we know that you will be too!

We’ll have yarn winders available so that you can wind your new yarn and knit ASAP.

Each reservation includes a Luxury Swag Bag, filled with special items selected by Casapinka and Wild Onion.

Ample Knitting Time

Of course, we’ve made plenty of time for knitting!

Enjoy the classes, then grab your knitting bag and head to the pub, lobby, pool, or outdoor space with some of your new friends. At night, we’ll knit and chat by the fire pits with drinks available on request.

The largest airport near Palm Desert is LAX in Los Angeles, which is 136 miles (~2 hours) from Palm Desert. There are connecting flights from LAX to PSP, the Indio/Palm Springs airport serving Palm Desert. PSP is 10 miles from Palm Desert.
